Conferences & events
ECMI2021
The "21st ECMI Conference on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ECMI 2021)" will take place online from April 13 to 15, 2021. The conference is organized by the Chair of Applied Mathematics and Numerical Analysis at University of Wuppertal under the direction of the newly elected KoMSO chairman Michael Guenther. KoMSO elections 2020
It is our pleasure to announce that at the end of October Michael Guenther (University of Wuppertal) was elected as the new KoMSO chairman. Hans Georg Bock (Heidelberg University) and Dirk Hartmann (Siemens AG) were elected as deputy chairmen. Their term of office runs until the end of 2023. BMBF call for proposals "Artificial intelligence"
The BMBF recently published a call for proposals for joint German-French projects on the topic "Artificial intelligence". The deadline for submission of project outlines is December 21, 2020. More information (in German) can be found at <https://www.bmbf.de/foerderungen/bekanntmachung-3205.html>.
DFG impulse paper on "Digital transformation in the sciences"
The DFG recently published an impulse paper on "Digital transformation in the sciences". According to DFG president Katja Becker, the paper "bundles a multitude of impulses and will serve as a compass in the coming years".
